Marine Cargo Insurance

Did you know, Maritime Insurance was the earliest well developed form of Insurance, with its origins in Roman and Greek times. Marine Cargo Insurance is a sub branch of Maritime Insurance.

There are standardised clauses for the use of Marine Cargo Insurance, these are known as the Institute Clauses. Insurance is underwritten on the Institute Cargo Clauses, with coverage on an A, B, or C basis, A having the widest cover and C the most restricted.

Freight Insurance is available for import or export shipments, FreightCare’s Freight Insurance protection can be tailored to meet your specific shipping requirements, we can provide Freight Insurance for one–off shipments, or regular commercial shipments, throughout the world and across Australia.

Freight Insurance protection is organised through well established reputable Australian based Insurers. Cargo Insurance protects against theft, partial or total loss and damage. FreightCare’s Freight Insurance is available for all Road, Rail, Air Freight and Sea Freight services.

Freight Insurance For FreightCare’s U PACK self pack container service is available only as TOTAL LOSS Cargo Insurance cover and must be organised prior to the packing of the U PACK container.

Annual Marine Cargo Insurance policies are also available for regular air freight and sea freight importers and exporters.
